I started feeling horribly painful cramps on Thursday evening and saw brown discharge later that night. Sometimes that is not a bad thing, but I was advised to call Dr. MacKay's office just in case.
On Friday morning, I was at L&D again. I was given an IV bag to stay hydrated and a shot to stave of contractions. It turns out that I have a UTI (TMI, I know), and these can cause preterm labor. So now, I am on an antibiotic on top of everything else.
So the moral of this story is: don't hold your #1s. If nature calls, just go.
I have taking it easy this weekend as a result. Have to go to the Doctor's Office to recheck my UTI culture as well as get my blood platelet count. Man, I'm tired.
